Billion has fewer noughts in some languages than others - 9 (am.,fl.,fr.) vs 12 (du.,en.)

Generally: most people in the Netherlands learned ‘English’ by watching American sub-titled films and series, thus use a different grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. Native Dutch speakers should look out for grey / gray, -ise / -ize, -our / -ur.
